We stock a selection of masks and snorkels, snorkeling equipment and scuba diving masks. When choosing gear for snorkeling some people prefer to buy each piece of equipment separately or alternatively you can often save money by buying the mask and snorkel set bundled together. On this page you can view and purchase our selection of mask and snorkel sets.
When choosing masks or snorkeling gear there are many factors that may influence your choice such as the brand, styling and colour which can make choosing the right equipment more confusing than it needs to be. Our guide below focuses on the important factors when choosing mask and snorkel sets.
Snorkel Masks
When choosing snorkel masks there are a large number of different types available and the benefits of some are not always immediately apparent. The main difference when choosing a mask is the lens type of which there are several basic kinds with a few variants and additional features.
Traditional snorkel masks feature a single large lens that fits over your eyes and nose. This is an extremely basic option which is only recommended if you are on a tight budget. As these masks fit over your nose and eyes a lot of air can trap inside which can lead to them fogging up often.
The next improvement on the traditional snorkel mask is the single lens mask. Single lens masks have a one piece lens similar to traditional masks but also feature a pocket to accommodate your nose. This means single lens masks trap much less air in comparison and also have less limitations on your peripheral vision.
Surprisingly enough, the next improvement on a single lens snorkel mask is the two lens mask. Two lens masks have a divider between the lens which reduces the amount of air inside the mask and allows more room for your nose which can increase comfort dramatically.
The next step up from this are three and four lens snorkel masks. Both of these feature two additional lens at the side which increase your field of vision. Three lens masks are arranged similar to a one lens mask with the additional side lenses and four lens masks feature the two individual lenses laid out with a divider similar to a two lens snorkel mask.
Snorkels
Similar to snorkel masks there are several main types of snorkels available with a few different variations of each. When buying a snorkel it is important to choose one which fits around your mouth comfortably and can be removed easily from your mask.
